Co-librarians Alicia Abdul and Kristen Majkut from Albany High School will lead librarians in a full-day workshop that bridges the realities of English Language Learners in our schools with what the library can do to proactively support staff, students, and the community.
Topics will include: collection development, technology, and programming with time to shape your own action plan. Participants will know and/or be able to: a. Connect with key resources in your school and community to build supports for ELLs. b. Deploy actionable items from a preliminary action plan that participants will create. c. Implement relevant strategies and model effective instruction for ELLs.
